Full Lace Frontal Installation Guide for Black Women

Welcome to the Hair-N-Paris Full Lace Frontal Installation Guide for Black Women. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the step-by-step process of installing a full lace frontal. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience with lace frontals, we've got you covered. Let's jump right in!"

Materials Needed:

  • Full lace frontal - For beginners it is best to use a transparent lace frontal for a more realistic look. Click the full frontal link to shop transparent lace frontals.
  • Mannequin head or wig stand (optional)
  • Wig cap or stocking cap
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive (e.g., wig glue, adhesive tape, or adhesive gel)
  • Adhesive remover
  • Hair products (e.g., mousse, edge control, or styling gel)
  • Hairbrush or comb
  • Hairdryer (optional)

Step 1: Preparing Your Hair and Scalp

  • Start by washing and conditioning your hair to ensure cleanliness.
  • If necessary, braid or cornrow your natural hair to create a flat surface.
  • Put on a wig cap or stocking cap that closely matches your skin tone to help secure the lace frontal and protect your hair.

Step 2: Preparing the Full Lace Frontal

  • Gently wash and condition the lace frontal to remove any excess oils or dirt.
  • Trim the lace around the hairline of the frontal using scissors, leaving about 1/8 inch of lace.

Step 3: Applying Adhesive

  • Apply a thin layer of adhesive along your hairline using a small brush or your fingertips. Be careful not to apply too much to avoid a visible line.
  • Allow the adhesive to dry until it becomes tacky. Refer to the adhesive's instructions for the recommended drying time.

Step 4: Placing the Full Lace Frontal

  • Position the full lace frontal on your head, aligning it with your natural hairline. Make sure the lace frontal fits snugly from ear to ear.
  • Gently press down the frontal onto the adhesive, starting from the center and moving outwards towards the sides.
  • Use your fingertips or a comb to press the lace into the adhesive for a secure bond.

Step 5: Styling and Blending

  • Trim the excess lace along the hairline of the frontal, being cautious not to cut too close to the hairline.
  • Style the lace frontal and your natural hair as desired, using a hairbrush, comb, or styling tools.
  • Apply hair products like mousse, edge control, or styling gel to blend your natural hair with the lace frontal for a seamless look.

Step 6: Finishing Touches

  • Apply edge control or gel to your edges for a sleek and polished appearance.
  • If needed, use a hairdryer on low heat to speed up the drying process of the adhesive.

Congratulations! You have successfully installed a full lace frontal. With practice, you'll become more comfortable and confident in the process.
